Makes: 1-2 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
•2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
•3/4 teaspoon of salt
•1 1/2 sticks of butter (softened)
•3/4 cup of sugar
•1 large egg
•1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
•Extra: sprinkles and frosting
Directions:
Start by whisking the salt and flour in a bowl.
Then keep mixing but put the egg and vanilla extract in. Next add the flour mixture in slowly and put the mixer on low. Mix until it looks like this...
Next take the dough out of the bowl and split it in half. Form the two halves into balls and put them into 2 8-inch pans. Then flatten the balls in the pan but not to the edge. Put plastic wrap over those and put them in the fridge for about an hour.
After those are done, take them out and flatten one on a board but put flour down so the dough doesn't stick. Leave the other pan to the side.
With a circle cookie cutter,
(or whatever you would like) cut the cookies out of the dough. Put them on a cookie sheet and pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
If you want, the next step is the sprinkles. Lightly put the sprinkles on.
When the oven is ready, go ahead and put the cookies in for 10-12 minutes. While those are cooking, flatten the next batch of dough and do the same thing.
After the cookies are done, let them cool and enjoy! This is how mine turned out...
